ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR - AMANDA SCADDEN

Amanda Scadden is a lifelong learner and educator with 10 years of experience across K-12 environments. Her passion for thinking outside the box, especially when it comes to life in the classroom, truly began while studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and earning a masters degree in Mind, Brain, Education. Since then, she has found a renewed sense of joy pursuing creative solutions to problems in the education space and is currently working as a guide at Acton Academy, a learner-led school model. Some of her favorite creative expressions outside the classroom include early morning coffee while journaling, diving on the sand volleyball court, laughing with friends, and leading a women’s community group. 

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR - Chris LUMRY

Chris Lumry is a Harvard-trained entrepreneur, consultant, and author of Creativity Unlocked. After experiences in the tech, consulting, and non-profit sectors, he founded OneStepGrowth to help people and teams increase joy and purpose through neuroscience-informed approaches to creativity. Chris has helped lead experimentation projects at large tech companies (Uber) and contributed to a white paper on opportunity youth for the Gates Foundation during his years as a social impact consultant. Formerly a self-described "non-creative," an unexpected personal awakening sparked a new approach to life that unlocked his own creativity and brought fresh purpose and joy to his career. He also leads OneStepHope, a nonprofit that creates hope-filled stories and documentaries to increase hope and action around substance use disorders.
